Bible Question:
Many members of our congregation are spreading their unhappiness with our pastor to others. Where in the bible do I find scripture that states not to attack God's special servants? I know not to bear false witness. But, I searched and I thought the bible mentions God protects teachers and such and that we'll be held accountable for sins against them. |
Bible Answer: Hello jweave, I find some directive in 1 Tim. 5:19-21: "Do not receive an accusation against an elder except on the basis of two or three witnesses. Those who continue in sin, rebuke in the presence of all, so that the rest also will be fearful of sinning. I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of His chosen angels, to maintain these principles without bias, doing nothing in a spirit of partiality." I hope this helps, BradK |
