Subject: To whom should we pay tithes? |
Bible Note: Heather, Malachi 3:10 says: "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Your church is the storehouse. You can present offerings above and beyond your tithe to other ministries, etc., after prayerful consideration, I would hope, but your tithe belongs to God and it should go into your own church. We rob God if we do not tithe. EVERYTHING IS HIS ANYWAY. He just wants to bless us and we tie His hands if we do not tithe. He wants to pour out His blessings upon His children. Tithing is a good sign of obedience to God. Janae |
