Bible Question:
I know the topic of divorce has been discussed a lot in the past. However, my quick search on the subject seems could not find me something relevant to the situation. Does this overseer also apply to choir conductor? Are we to terminate the choir conductor's ministry due to his/her recent divorce despite his/her most willingness to serve? Shalom Azure P.S. Sorry that I clicked the "note" button by mistake while this is in fact a question I wanted to ask. |
Bible Answer: God's day to you, Azure, The question of if ... Are all church ministers (or maybe all church staff) who lead others condidered overseers, or is it limited to a subset or just the chief overseers (senior pastor)? Some of the variables include what the by-laws and consitution says, when the divorce happened ... and others. We don't have all the facts ... but I'd hope the church would do what is right. There are well known senior pastors who are divorced. Sad, very sad. S |
