Subject: Can a woman speak in church? |
Bible Note: Dear brother: I realize that this is not an answer to your primary question. However, I would like to carry on from your last post. "She shall be saved in childbearing "childrearing" How? "If she continue in faith, and charity and holiness and sobriety" V. 15 The word "saved" in this verse actually means she will be perserved. I believe that what Paul means is that a Christian woman who maintains a faithful life before her children, that her testimony will have an impact on her children. And like the woman of Proverbs 31 "her children will rise up, and call her blessed" V. 28. Conversely, the woman who does not maintain a faithful testimony before her children may have great aggravation in childrearing. I have difficulty with the amplified translation on this one.
