Bible Question: In some of his letters, Paul distinguished his words/wishes/opinions from those of the Lord our God. This particular verse has been sited and referenced to support the belief that it is not God's will that women be Pastors (or even ministers in some congregations). Was this verse Paul's opinion, or God's Word? |
Bible Answer: Hi, HISROSEBUD15! Just a quick check: How many female Levites were anointed priests? How many female disciples were part of the Twelve? There are no Biblical passages that demonstrate that a woman is called to be in the service of God in an equal responsibility and function as a man. This fact does not negate the importance of women in both the Old Testatmen and the New Testament and the Church! God Bless! Angel |
