Bible Question: I want to know what the Bible says about capital punishment. Not opinions, but scripture. All scripture. |
Bible Answer: Greetings Shelly! I've heard the subject of capital punishment argued very differently (from both extreme points of view) by Bible believing, professing Christians.. Those who tend to support capital punishment will use Matthew 26:52, Genesis 9:6, Exodus 21:12, Esther 2:23, 9:14 and Leviticus 24:17 in their defense. Those who tend to argue against capital punishment will use Deut. 32:35, John 8:6-7, 8:59, 10:31-32, Romans 12:19 and Hebrews 10:30 in their defense. Blessings to you, Makarios |
