Subject: What is "slain in the spirit"? |
Bible Note: Mark, You have to ignore the plain meaning of the text to arrive at what you say demonstartes being "slain in the spirit"! The plain meaning is that they fell down at His feet because they recognized that He was Jesus, the Christ, God-incarnate. It is pure speculative eisegesis to say he "slew them in the spirit"! How do you arrive at this interpretation? What others, i. e. scholars would support your view? Mark, you're on very tenuous ground at best here! You are twisting the Word of God, my friend. There is simply NO scripture to back or lend support to this notion. None! I think we need to move on to real study of the Bible and off pure speculation:-( Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
