Subject: Do not quench the Spirit |
Bible Note: Hi zacht, I believe that the Holy Spirit is God and the Spirit of God dwells in us. We are a Spiritual temple that is being fitted together and "is growing into a holy temple in the Lord." Ephesians 2:21. Ephesians 2:17, "And He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near; for through Him we both have our access in one (Spirit) to the Father...and are of God's household." 1 Cor 3:16, "Do you not know that you are a temple of (God), and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" 1 Cor 3:23, "and you belong to (Christ); and Christ belongs to God." Ephesians 2:4, "But God...because of His great love with which He loved us...made us alive together with (Christ)..." 1 Thess 5:9, "obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with (Him)." ***But not only is the Holy Spirit in us, for I do not separate the Persons like that. The mystery is that Christ is in us, the hope of glory. Colosians 1:28, "And we proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in (Christ)." Colossians 1:21,22, "And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before (Him) holy and blameless and beyond reproach---" For all the fullness dwells in Him "so that He (Himself) might come to have first place in everything." Colossians 1:18 Colossians 2:8, "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete,..." Colossians 2:6, "As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in (Him)."
