Bible Note: Greatings Michael Draves, Which passage in the Bible shows Lazarus as the "beloved disciple?" I have always understood that term to be applied by John (John 21:24), the Evangelist, to himself. Further, during the Passover Meal (John 13:21-30) it is stated that the disciples were with Jesus the disciple whom Jesus loved was sitting next to Jesus and was asked to get more details on who would betray Jesus. Lazarus, though also loved by Jesus, was never mentioned as a constant companion of Jesus and the twelve! God Bless! |
