Bible Question: Who are the dead in Christ spoken of in 1st Thessalonians 4:16 |
Bible Answer: Hey Kidstuff, Welcome to the forum. When Christ returns the corpses of deceased believers will be re-united with their spirits at the 2nd resurrection. This will occur at the sound of the trumpet which signals the Return of Christ to the Earth. Prior to this great event, the bodiless spirits of these believers are in heaven in the presesnce of Jesus. 2 Cor 5:8 "we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
