NASB | Colossians 3:11 a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Colossians 3:11 a renewal in which there is no [distinction between] Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, [nor between nations whether] barbarian or Scythian, [nor in status whether] slave or free, but Christ is all, and in all [so believers are equal in Christ, without distinction]. |
Subject: Does this apply? |
Bible Note: Searcher, Thanks for taking he time to answer this question. I work at the headquarters of a certain Pentecostal Denomination, and it seems they definitely seperate themselves from everyone else by certain issues and mindsets. It is truly sad and I feel it is major loss of power within the Body of Christ, I guess it just frustrates me that I am tied to these people through Christ, yet they choose to seperate themselves. I have temptation to seperate myself from them, But the Lord will not allow it. I long for the day that ALL of the People who love Christ would come together in unity. Surely then we would be closer to a beautiful spotless bride worth coming back for. |
