Subject: Could Jesus sin? |
Bible Note: Greetings Edwin! I have been trying to follow you discussion with Kalos, but I may have missed something. :-) I understand that different people have different understandings about the question of whether or not Jesus could have sinned. However, I am concerned about the direction you are going to explain the Trinity and the incarnation. You wrote in your last post, "My use of the word "Name", is as above, a description of a person, however, I still await your explanation of how it is that out of the mouth of one person there can come a claim to Deity (Which I accept), and a claim not to be (which I also accept)" Where exactly did Christ claim not to be God? While the Trinity and the incarnation are difficult concepts for us to grasp, any attempt to explain them that makes Jesus less than God at any time does not do justice to Scripture. Are you claiming that Jesus was not God during the incarnation and that He was simply a man indwelt by the Father? If so, this is a dangerous direction to take my friend. I look forward to your response. Have a Merry Christmas! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
