Bible Question (short): Rejoicing in The Lord |
Question (full): Hi, rejoicing in the Lord always is something is a great command to do. It seems a little extreme to do it but again that's where the definition comes from, part of it anyways. Rejoice is an emotion; I'll give the definition of rejoice, to show you what I mean. Rejoice: to feel joy or great delight. And joy is: the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires : delight b: the expression or exhibition of such. How are we to do this always as Phillipians 4:4 says, "4Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice." Sometimes it always doesn't feel right to be in a great delight mood and thinking pattern. But is this what the Lord is telling us to do? Rejoice in Jesus Christ always? The thing that comes to mind is is it always right to always be joyful 24hours a day? Thank you, God bless. I know my question is to the point and straight forward, but just trying to understand more. |
