NASB | Philippians 4:3 Indeed, true companion, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Philippians 4:3 Indeed, I ask you too, my true companion, to help these women [to keep on cooperating], for they have shared my struggle in the [cause of the] gospel, together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life. [Dan 12:1; Mal 3:16, 17; Rev 3:5; 21:27] |
Bible Question:
I was reading Revelation 20 ver 15 and it talks about the book of life and then I was reading Revelation 21 ver 27 and it says the Lamb's book of life. are there two different books of life. I need help with this. Thanks Dab |
Bible Answer: Yes, there are numerous references in Revelation about this Book of Life but so also in: Psalm 69:28 May they be blotted out of the book of life and not be listed with the righteous. Philippians 4:3 Yes, and I ask you, loyal yokefellow, help these women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. I see no reason to think these are all different books as they all seem to apply to God's way of just communicating to us the fact that he knows who really is in His family or not. He knows each of us and our deepest thoughts, yes even the ones we hide from our very best friend here on earth. I don't think we're going to know for certain these kind of details until after our death or possibly until the end of time. God bless. |
