AMPLIFIED 2015 | Philippians 2:6 who, although He existed in the form and unchanging essence of God [as One with Him, possessing the fullness of all the divine attributes--the entire nature of deity], did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped or asserted [as if He did not already possess it, or was afraid of losing it]; |
Bible Question:
Would someone please explain these verses. I understand and believe in the diety of Christ Jesus, but perhaps in a somewhat different way. Jesus, being the “Son” of the “Father” is thus from the Father. So, Jesus is not the Father nor the Almighty God, but his only begotten GOD "a son of GOD". Thus too he is lesser than his Father or Creator. (Mark 13:32) “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father. (1 Corinthians 15:24,28) Next, the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power. 28 But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him, that God may be all things to everyone. Bible Answer: Hi Truthfinder, Mark 13:26, "And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then He will send forth *His angels, [see NKJ] and will gather His/ elect from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth, to the farthest end of heaven." 1 Corinthians 15:24, "then comes the end, when He/ delivers up the kingdom to the God and Father, when (He) has abolished all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death. 27 For He has put all things in subjection under His/ feet..." Hebrews 2:8, "'(Thou) hast put all things in subjection under His feet.' For in subjecting all things to *Him, He left nothing that is not subject to *Him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to *Him. But we do see Him/ who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus..." 1 Corinthians 15:47, NKJ, "The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord/ from heaven." 1 Corinthians 15:28, "And when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, that God/ may be all in all." Truthfinder, the fact that you are finding the need to make Jesus a man and the son of God is the situation that I have been trying clarify while on this forum. Why do we need to think of Jesus as a man? I do not, for the flesh profits nothing. When death is abolished then He will put all things under His/ feet. Hebrews 2:5, "For He/ did not subject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking." No, rather we see Him/ who has been made FOR A LITTLE WHILE lower than the angels. (emphasis mine) Oh, that God/ may be all in all. From the heart, Ray |
