Bible Question: What is the connection (if any) between the heart and the mind? |
Bible Answer: eagle11, Here are my personal definitions: Heart, Ones Deepest emotions and desires that connects us with our surroundings, as well as, to others. Our heart determines how much we respond emotionally to what is happening around us. Mind, Ones process of setting Priories for decision making. Therefore, I would say that the heart affects the mind and vice versa. There needs to be the right amont of feedback between heart and mind for each and everything in our lives. Mankind is extremely complex. Maybe this is all controlled by our soul since the soul is separate from the heart and mind? Or maybe this question is too deep for me? Luke 10:27 So he answered and said, ""You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,'[10:27 Deuteronomy 6:5] and "your neighbor as yourself."'[ Leviticus 19:18] Pastor Glenn |
