Bible Question:
I'm going to teach a SS lesson on the greatest commandment (Mark 12:30) and I wanted to hear others thoughts on loving God with HEART and SOUL. That is, the two seem closely related and like to hear what others say distinguishes the two from each other. That is, Heart vs Soul characteristics. Any thoughts? Thanks. |
Bible Answer: Your soul is your life. Serving God whole-souled would be to dedicate your life to his service. Serving God with your whole heart would imply you are doing so with your emotions as well, because you WANT to, not out of any compulsion. |
