Bible Note: My apologies. I wrote the following paragraph in ID# 104889 first -- BEFORE I did the research. Big mistake! :-) This is what I originally wrote: "The Jewish people have been observing the Saturday Sabbath for about 3,500 years now. There is no confusion among them about which day of the week is the seventh day. If the seventh day is unknown and unknowable, then various Jewish sects could observe various days of the week. But that is not the case. Among them there is universal agreement that Saturday is the seventh-day sabbath." These are the corrections to the previous post: Correction: Among the Jewish people there is NEARLY universal agreement that Saturday is the seventh-day sabbath. There are those who dissent, but they are a very, very small minority. Correction: The OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF Jewish people have been observing the Saturday Sabbath for about 3,500 years now. I apologize for posting something which contained errors of fact. I never do this knowingly or deliberately. Also, if my earlier post was in any way offensive or overly harsh, I apologize. I didn't intend it that way. Wordoer, I meant no offense or attack against you personally. I was merely discussing the issue. Bless you. --kalos |
