Subject: work on Sundays |
Bible Note: While having the utmost respect for you and your right to express your opinion, I strongly disagree that we don't know which day of the week is the seventh day. The Christian world considers Sunday to be the first day of the week. Logically, it follows that if Sunday is the first day of the week, then Saturday is the seventh day. The Jewish people have been observing the Saturday Sabbath for about 3,500 years now. There is no confusion among them about which day of the week is the seventh day. If the seventh day is unknown and unknowable, then various Jewish sects could observe various days of the week. But that is not the case. Among them there is universal agreement that Saturday is the seventh-day sabbath. In the Law, God never said pick a day, any day. He specifically said the seventh day. It is a poor argument to claim that we don't know which day of the week is the seventh day. We don't have to draw closer to the Lord to get a revelation telling us when sunrise or sunset or the full moon takes place. Likewise, it takes no special revelation to figure out that Saturday is the seventh day of the week. |
