What is your favorite Bible version? Why is it your favorite? This question has not been asked in the past 12 months. Many of us have previously addressed this question on the forum, but many have not. Whether you have or not, I invite you to tell us: what is your favorite Bible version and why? A Happy New Year to all! Grace to you, Kalos |
Bible Answer: Kalos Interesting question. I will answer NKJV. However I still enjoy the NASB and NLT. I would have included ESV but lately I have been running into verses where the ESV word choice has left a rather bad taste in my mouth. While I'm not about to throw the baby out with the bath water I have lost much of my enthusiasm for the ESV that I once had. I think KJV is undeniably the all time favorite it’s antiquated words leave much to be desired and I think this is where the NKJV steps in and meets the need. I recently heard of a ‘New Translation’? called the KJV in modern English. I add the question mark because I’m not sure it is a new translation or rather just a refreshing of the words. In any case I want to get my hands on a copy. EdB |
