Bible Question:
What is your favorite Bible version? Why is it your favorite? This question has not been asked in the past 12 months. Many of us have previously addressed this question on the forum, but many have not. Whether you have or not, I invite you to tell us: what is your favorite Bible version and why? A Happy New Year to all! Grace to you, Kalos |
Bible Answer: Happy New Year Kalos - I enjoy the NASB for personal study, "The Message" for pleasure reading, and "God's Word" for another perspective . . . I am not keen on the KJV or the NIV. I believe that we need to do more than "read"- we need to "chew" or meditate upon what God has revealed in His Word. When I read from different versions I often gain a different perspective which prompts me to seek God's counsel for ME in what I am reading. At times I suspect we tend to see what "others need" rather than what God wants to give US! And your preferred version is? Blessings, mommapbs PS: At times I wish I could read Greek - I'm thankful for members like Tim Moran here! |
