Bible Question:
Where did justification come into all of this? I will ask again and it's not that I'm trying to be a hard case here. Where did Jesus do away with the tithe? Go back to Romans 15:4 again. There is a difference when one talks about something being fulfilled and abolished. Paul deals with this subject. I fail to see where the tithe, where tithing went away. My mind is not closed to change when biblical justification and substantiation can be brought to bare. It's not my heart to be prideful. In Him, lionheart |
Bible Answer: Lionheart, Clearly stated below, THE BIBLE SAYS.... 1st Covenant (testament) OBSOLETE . New covenant ( NOT THE OLD TESTAMENT THAT WAS ADDED ON TO), set in place and given to us when Christ died.... Hebrews 9:16 Old Testament is gone. Read Galatians, quit putting yourself under the bondage of the Law, we have been delivered from the Law, and now live in LIBERTY. Heb 8:13 When He said, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear. Heb 9:15 For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Heb 9:16 For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. Hope it helps, Luke |
