AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. |
Bible Question (short): Where is Satan? |
Question (full): Where is Satan? Why does Revelation 12:7 say "And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war, Rev 12:8 and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. Rev 12:12 "For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time." Rev 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. These verses make it sound like Satan and his Demonic Angels reside in heaven (or at least have access to heaven) until the "last days." |
