AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 5:3 ¶ But sexual immorality and all [moral] impurity [indecent, offensive behavior] or greed must not even be hinted at among you, as is proper among saints [for as believers our way of life, whether in public or in private, reflects the validity of our faith]. |
Bible Question:
can a male and female of the same age 'just be friends' (in a context of psychological non-sexual relationship), without the risk of sexual interaction? must males and females of the same age interact only in groups to avoid risks of sexual interaction? or can private (non-group) relationships be held without risk in a psychological non-sexual context? for example, can i privately invite a person who is my age but the opposite gender to my home without sexual risks? |
Bible Answer: It's a lot more doable if both people are single, it tends to work better if you start off in a group/casual context, and it requires a good deal of trust and communication in order to prevent misunderstandings, awkwardness, and bad stuff. That said, it can be well worth it for single people. But for married people, it's a lot more unwise. |
