AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 4:13 until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity]. |
Bible Question (short): Why is it knowledge of the "Son of God"? |
Question (full): Why is it knowledge of the Son of God ... fullness of Christ? Paul uses Son of God only three times (Rom 1:4; 2Co 1:19; Gal 2:20) and we are to know Eph 1:17 (Father), Col 1:9-10 (His will and God), Col 2:2 (Christ), 2Pe 1:2-3 (God and of Jesus our Lord), 2Pe 2:20 (Lord and Savior Jesus Christ), when Paul and Peter refer knowing (epignosis) someone. So why "Son of God" and not Christ? Searcher |
