Subject: Is the Law abolished or not? |
Bible Note: "If we are under Christ's headship, we still have an obligation through service to obey the law" There is no "obligation" or duty of obedience (for any reason) after Jesus's death... he fulfilled that TOTALLY with his blood. Now, walking by the sprit, is how we obey, not thru obligation. If we feel "obligated" we will slowly learn to hate the law. Walking in the Sprit, we will slowly, over time, learn to love the law... and thus, obey...out of love not obligation Galations 5:18--- "If you led by the sprit you are not under law" Those two clauses are mutually exclusive...you can't have both at once. Each person needs to make a coice... obligation... or...... what's the best word(s)?.... total dependence??? |
