AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above--spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]. Bible Note: Greetings J. Elkins! This is a quite simple request! :-) Acts 10 makes it clear that Cornelius, and those with him, at received the gift of the Holy Spirit. John 14:15-17 says, "‘‘If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." An unbeliever cannot receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. John is quite clear that the world does not know him, but that He dwells within believers. Therefore, Cornelius, and those with him, were already saved prior to be baptized in water. p.s. - How about addressing the rest of my points in my previous post? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
