AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 2:1 And you [He made alive when you] were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of your transgressions and sins, |
Subject: Trespasses are blunders. |
Bible Note: Actually, Dan, the Bible does not teach that the natural man goes through a process of dying spiritually. He is dead from the git go, as dead as a hammer. John 3:18: "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." Ephesians 2:1: "And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins." But you are on the mark about the biblical definition of trespasses. It doesn't mean by-passing a "Posted: Keep Out" sign and sneaking into a farmer's watermelon patch. But if you trespass on the farmer's turf and snitch a couple of his watermelons, you've not only trespassed in a civil sense but sinned in a biblical sense :-) --Hank |
