Bible Question: Is there a particular reference in the Bible to ask for forgiveness for NUMEROUS mistakes that have been made? Also, is there anything that says that "therapy" is bad? I know these may be strange questions, but I am still new to this and trying to get my life together. I have been going to therapy for being abused as a child. I never told a soul and kept it in for 25 years. Well, that secret finally took its toll on me and I am now needing all the help I can get. (to make a long story short). Please help me. I have made some terrible mistakes and really need to get myself out of the dark hole and into the light. Thank You. |
Bible Answer: Dear believer I don't know how much I can be worth to you,but I would like to tell you that I was severely abused physicly one time to the point that my sister thought i was dead,I used my sever abuse as a justification for a terrible sinful life until I was 25 years old,to the point that because of a statement made to me I told God and Jesus to leave me alone because satan has much less problems and heartaches and a hold lot more good things to please me with.I had no conscience for about a year so until I was on my way to kill my Dad then I heard a voice saying my name then said if you do it will be forever to late fortunately I listened.A few years later I ran into someone that told me to read 1 corinthians 15:all especially notice the part where Paul describes himself. If a man like that can be forgiven then it is not to late for you and me.Read your bible daily to overcome satan and his trickery.Thank Jesus many times every day for your salvation and when satan puts doubts in your head just remind him that GOD has forgiven you and no longer sees those ugly things May GOD richly bless your journey on the narrow path, aayoder |
