Subject: Does God hear me when I pray? |
Bible Note: Hi Mark, Thanks for your insight, and scripture. I agree with you that sin in our lives is when we need God most. I believe that the Holy Spirit is busy making us aware of such sin. It is a really great opportunity for us to grow in our faith and learn dependence on the Lord. Our pastor said that because of the unconfessed sin, that a believer has no access to God until this is corrected. I disagree, but wanted to hear from others. How could a christian not be able to communicate with God because of unconfessed sin, yet if that same person died in that condition they would have access to God through the finished work of Jesus Christ and would immediately be in the presence of God. That analogy seems to be contradictory. Please help with any thoughts you might have or any scripture reference you might know of. jal |
