NASB | Galatians 6:1 Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 6:1 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any sin, you who are spiritual [that is, you who are responsive to the guidance of the Spirit] are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness [not with a sense of superiority or self-righteousness], keeping a watchful eye on yourself, so that you are not tempted as well. |
Subject: what is involved in restoring....... |
Bible Note: Hello Roger459, How do you know if he is a believer? Matt 7:17-20 (ESV) 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits. DocTrinsograce has shown the fruit of righteousness in his communication. Also, I never said that sharing the word of God was ungodly. If you are refering to DocTrinsograce's answer, then go back and reread it. He was questioning how you used the word of God. He thought it was deceitful. If you think he sinned, do as the Scriptures say: Gal 6:1-2 (ESV) 1 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. And lastly, using capital letters is considered shouting on the internet. Steve |
