NASB | Galatians 6:1 Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 6:1 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any sin, you who are spiritual [that is, you who are responsive to the guidance of the Spirit] are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness [not with a sense of superiority or self-righteousness], keeping a watchful eye on yourself, so that you are not tempted as well. |

Bible Note: ROGER459: This evening I've been reading a number of your posts. Two of my friends, BradK and srbaegon, have expressed concern, if not dismay, about the tone of your posts. So I too join them in expressing mine. If I had to pick and choose one word that best describes your style in interacting with other Forum users, that word would be "abrasive." Roger, this Forum, unlike your personal web site, is a community of many users of various talents, spiritual orientations, degrees of learning and intelligence -- but they are all of them human beings, just as your yourself are, and are therefore as worthy to be treated with courtesy, kindness, and personal respect as you are. You, Roger, have not earned the right to appear on this Forum and be discourteous, if not insulting, to members who were here long before you came. Please review each of your posts and ask yourself, "How would I like this post if it was addressed TO Roger instead of being FROM Roger?" One final suggestion. Since using ALL CAPS is the internet equivalent of shouting, you might consider speaking more softly. As one who has been active here for more than three years, I tell you frankly that it is in your own best interests not to speak (write) with so forked a tongue! Please review carefully the Lockman Foundation's rules for Forum usage and comply with them. Blessings and peace. --Hank |
