NASB | Galatians 3:8 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, "ALL THE NATIONS WILL BE BLESSED IN YOU." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 3:8 The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, proclaimed the good news [of the Savior] to Abraham in advance [with this promise], saying, "IN YOU SHALL ALL THE NATIONS BE BLESSED." [Gen 12:3] |
Bible Question: Who was the first great circuit riding preacher mentioned in the bible? |
Bible Answer: Well, God preached the gospel to Abraham. But I'd deem that the Protoevangelium (isn't that a cool word?) of Genesis 3:15 would be an even better verse to cite with the claim that God Himself was the greatest preacher, covering a lot more ground than any creature. See also Hebrews 1:1-2. :-) |
