NASB | Galatians 2:21 "I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 2:21 "I do not ignore or nullify the [gracious gift of the] grace of God [His amazing, unmerited favor], for if righteousness comes through [observing] the Law, then Christ died needlessly. [His suffering and death would have had no purpose whatsoever.]" |
Subject: Do we have to earn grace? |
Bible Note: Kalos I understand now! Let me say this if we have grace we WILL have works. If we don't have works then as James says grace is not really present. Works are NOT needed to keep or get grace, works come with grace. There are a lot of workless (so called) Christians that unless they change may well be like the man in the parable that didn't wear his wedding clothes and was asked to leave. EdB |
