AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 2:21 "I do not ignore or nullify the [gracious gift of the] grace of God [His amazing, unmerited favor], for if righteousness comes through [observing] the Law, then Christ died needlessly. [His suffering and death would have had no purpose whatsoever.]" |
Bible Question: Do we have to earn grace? |
Bible Answer: nae nae 04, Grace by its' very definition is giving people what they have not worked for. In contrast see Rom. 11:6, "and if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work." See the following verses: Rom. 3:24, 4:4, Eph. 2:8-9, 2 Tim. 1:9. these are by no means exhaustive, but should get you started. You may consider using a Concordance and looking up all uses of the word "grace". Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
