Bible Note: The CurtMan: I appreciate your feed back and think I understand your point. What is so hard to pick up on in these notes that we send back and forth is the tone and the meaning behind what we are trying to conver with printed words. Wise is the person that knows what the enemy thinks and believes. When others don't care to learn what you know, it is their loss. However if I learn all I can from someone else, it is I who is by far more richer. I find it odd that there are so many that have studied cults and know how to witness to these people who are in the cults, but I see so very little results. Most churches have some kind of how to witness class each year. But little fruit seems to come from this teaching. I am not so sure little results because "a lot of Christians have a difficult time explaining the truth." Perhaps it's like trying to light a candel with no wick. Maybe we relate head knowledge rather than a changed hearts with being saved? Scripture says to renew our minds, yet I see the same old patterns live on in many of us. I think you have hit a point I can say yes this is so. Most of us do not find ways to put Scripture that we read and bring it into application. I am sure if we did the baptistry would be used every Lords day! It is hard for me to see the perspective of Christians who never witness. With that I am not sure if many Christians really know not only what they believe, but lets go further and say they may know what they believe, but not who they belive in, Jesus Christ. I stand guilty and have no excuse for my unfaithfulness in witnessing. Any thoughts? justme |
