Subject: Releases from tithing 10 per cent? |
Bible Note: I am not sure. I know He loves me just as much as He loves the worst sinner - Christ gave His life for us both, so no matter what I give to the Lord, He will love me. I also know that there are different crowns (real or figuratively can be debated) for service done in this life. Our works will be rewarded although salvation is not one of the rewards. So I am proposing that a tithe is a good guideline, but if possible, to go over as much as your heart takes you. Notice, I did not say "mind". My mind would tell me "I might need this extra money - food, time, fill in the blank! Sometimes, we have to go out on faith knowing the Lord will supply all our needs. I have a question for you- Is the Lord displeased if we don't bring followers to Him? Is he really pleased with men like Billy Graham (you know what I mean) and displeased if we don't "muster up" to Billy's volume? Or does he see the heart? Debbie |
