Bible Question: what happens after death ? |
Bible Answer: Hi lisakb, Simply, we can look to 2 Cor. 5:8-10: "we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad." Additionally, Hebrews 9:27 says, "And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,..." Paul wrote in Phil. 1:21 that, "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Depending upon how detailed an answer you're looking for, much more could be said.
