Bible Question:
I have always wondered about Crist praying at the garden of Gethsemani. I believe that his biggest concern was not dying at the cross but the taking on all of our sins. Up to that point God had not known sin. He knew he would ressurect in three days. What is you opinion? Tony F |
Bible Answer: to be crucified had to be a horrible death, and since Jesus was made flesh he felt every thing that we feel. pain hunger feelings hurt, ect and I feel that He knew the pain that He was gona feel on that old cruel cross, so He had to pray pray pray meaning he prayed three times, then the angels came and ministered to him. this was something that Jesus was willing to go through , and when you think of the Father forsakeing him for a moment that had to be hurtful to, but after the third prayer He , Jesus said not my will but thine be done. and Jesus was our perfect example. this let me know that we will go through some things for the gospel sake, but heaven will be worth it all. |
