Bible Note: Greetings Xmikx! The only problem with the Living Bible is that it is a paraphrase, not a translation. Paraphrases involve interpretion more than translation. Thus, in 2 Cor. 4:4, the word 'Satan' never appears in the text, but the Living Bible 'adds' it anyway. Thus, they potentially change the meaning of the text. There isn't a single verse in the Bible where Satan is called a 'god'. So, why should his name be added to this verse? :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
