NASB | 2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit. |
Bible Question:
Dear friends More like Jesus? Am I, are you, after many years do others see that we have changed to be more like him? This is not some arrogant man made boast, but a gift from God himself as we continue to behold the glory of the Lord in his precious word. I love the words by Max Lucado in his book "Just like Jesus" "God loves you just the way you are, but he refuses to leave you there...His plan is nothing short of total transformation" The grace of God is awesome, to think that he can save a power sinner like me, change me by his spirit and give me the opportunity to grow into the image of his Son! |
Bible Answer: This is perhaps the single most significant issue that we need to consider ever so often. Whether people can see THAT we have changed, HOW we have changed, and SINCE WHEN we have changed determines their response to Christ's saving power. And that is an awesome realization. But praise be to God, that He works inspite of us (ie. our shortcomings and failures) to touch those around us and draw them to Himself. Nevertheless, I know that we are to be responsible and concerned about our "unspoken witness" to those around us who don't yet know the love of Christ, just as much as we are to be concerned about the Great Commission of Mathew 28:19-20. Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen. God bless you, Mrs. Santosh Shetty |
