Bible Question: Does anyone know how can Paul make a distinction between keeping the commandments of God and being circumsized? I know Christians don't get circumsized today, but how would Paul's hearers have known that the law that commanded circumcision was no longer applicable to them? |
Bible Answer: Dear emerson, Welcome to the forum! Circumcision was a commandment in the old Covenant. It becomes fully implemented under the new Covenant when God Himself circumcises the heart (Romans 2:29; cf Ephesians 2:11) of the His own.
