Bible Question: IF a father is involved in suspected adultery and is not showing faithfulness to his wife(the brides mother), what biblical rights does the bride have as far as her fathers involvement in the wedding ceremony??-realtor5600 |
Bible Answer: Greeting Realtor5600! The short answer is that there aren't any Bibilical rights that a bride has in regards to a wedding. The issue simply isn't discussed. It sounds like you have some family issues which really should be discussed with your local pastor. The forum simply isn't a good place for such advice. I would provide one word of caution though: There may be extreme cases where the father should not be invited to participate in a daughter's wedding, such as abuse. However, consider the consequences very carefully - not inviting a father to a daughter's wedding will most likely be a relationship breaker. I would advise that you get with your local pastor to discuss these issues though. Then, you can discuss with him all of the issues and dynamics involved in this decision. I hope this helps!
