Bible Note: Searcher, Let me preface my response by saying this:My wife and I got married because we believe in marriage. We didn't get married "to try it" and divorce is NOT an option for us! I've never counseled anyone regardless of their situation or circumstances to get a divorce( and I've counseled a few). I believe that strongly in marriage. My feelings are that if you got married, you need to stick to it, tough it out and make it work:-) As scripture instructs, we should seek the godly counsel of other believers.(Prov. 19:20) However, that being said, and knowing that scripture is clear, we also need to allow for some grace. We are not perfect and do not always make the right choices or decisions. Divorce is not the unpardonable sin. I hope that clarifies my view. Speaking The Truth In Love, BradK |
