Subject: Should pastors/preachers be evaluated |
Bible Note: There is a vast difference between being accountable and being judged. Moses was told to seek the counsel of others, elders. No where in scripture has God stated that his servants are to be judged. The perfect example of man trying to judge God's servants is the Pharisees that wanted to judge John the Baptist and Jesus and to apply human understanding to God's servants. The scriptures are filled with case after case where God's man was hindered by people in the flesh that felt they knew a better way. Either the man is called of God to the task or he isn't. If he is walking in pride, arrogance or lauds himself over others isn't lead of God. However If the man is chosen of God, then who among us is qualified to question the leading of God has given the man and who appointed any one to judge god's leadership? The problem is to many leaders in the church were not selected by but are there due to things other than the leading of God. They aren't God's servants they don't answer to God they answer to those that put them in place and judge them. Many wonder why the church seems un relevant and ineffective in today's world. I believe the main reason is too much of the church is being ran as a company. With leadership chosen by human reasoning instead of prayer. Again Jesus must be the head of the church, and the pastor must be lead by Jesus not by men of power in the church. When there is more than one earthly leader you have a two head beast which is an abomination. |
