NASB | 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now [in this time of imperfection] we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma], but then [when the time of perfection comes we will see reality] face to face. Now I know in part [just in fragments], but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known [by God]. |
Subject: Why so blind? |
Bible Note: Hi John, You said, "In my 10 years as a member of a pentacostal church, NOT ONCE did I hear a person speak in german or chinese or swahili. Their words were ALWAYS in (what was called) a heavenly or angelic language." On the day of Pentecost the people heard the disciples speaking their languages...this is true. But with the gift of tongues where there is the necessity of an 'interpretor' not a translator..why do you believe the tongues must be a language someone in the congregation understands? If that were the case, why would there need to be an interpretor? God bless |
