Bible Question: Should a two year old child be able to partake of the Lords Supper. |
Bible Answer: Hi, Taz... Welcome to the forum! Since the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper have no efficacy save for the regenerate, the first task would be to determine if the two-year-old is saved. Next, we see from the above verse that we are to carefully and prayerfully introspect to determine our worthiness to partake. Actually I've heard-tell of a four-year-old that had the cognitive sophistication for these things. However, had I not known the child's pastor very well, I'd have been dubious about that story. Nevertheless, a two-year-old being so precocious is pretty much of a stretch. In Him, Doc |
