Subject: Physically Correct Communion? |
Bible Note: Attitude not position or status is what is important. You can be ordained and incorrectly view communion as a necessary nuisance as many pastors do. Or you can be a lay person serving communion as an exhibition of your position and again be wrong. Or you can be serving communion as a humble servant doing a task that needs to be done to worship and obey Christ. Communion is “all” about Christ not about the person serving it. However I think we have to be very careful where we try to focus people. Sometimes we try to bring new excitement into our worship by doing something different when in fact what needs to be done is a to bring excitement into our worship by focusing the people more clearly on Christ. If people aren’t excited when Jesus is held higher than they need to get saved. EdB |
