AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 1:2 ¶ To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified (set apart, made holy) in Christ Jesus, who are selected and called as saints (God's people), together with all those who in every place call on and honor the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours: |
Bible Question:
How would you describle a Saint? I look under search and it really didn't explain the word as we would look at a Godly Saint. Thanks |
Bible Answer: The biblical and early church meaning of 'saints' is used interchangeably with church, Christians, The elect, followers of the Way or Believers. Some organisations have tried to change the meaning - to reserve it for only a few people chosen by men in funny clothes, but saints are really just people who are being 'sanctified' (made holy - more like God) by the Holy Spirit. Christians. |
