NASB | Romans 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 8:29 For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honored] among many believers. |
Bible Question:
Is the story of Jesus being born, 100 percent true with pure factual evidence? Why does every so often some one makes a prediction and they say its from God, its wrong? Why wont Jesus magic fool us today? Is the apocoplipse going to happen on 2011? All of these questions I just asked are some of the questions that my unbelieving friend has asked me. I am totally lost in giving answers to these questions. Can somebody help me out. Yes, I do know there are scholors out there. |
Bible Answer: Conversion to accepting God at His word is due entirely to direct Divine intervention into the life of the person concerened, and has nothing whatsoever to do with human debate using logic, and reason. See also Mat 16:17, "flesh and blood has not revealed it to you,but my Father who is in heaven", and 1st Cor 2:14, "The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned". |
